Afshan Tehseen has been earnestly working for human rights in Pakistan for more than 25 years. Her work has been particularly focused on Child Rights and Protection, Youth Mentoring, Human Rights & Women Empowerment, Policy Advocacy and Legal Reforms. She has been part of various networks and forums at national and international level as Master Trainer, Goodwill Ambassador and Regional Gender Champion.
Iqbal Detho received his Master of Science in “Human Rights” from the London School of Economics as Chevening Scholar, UK and a Hubert H Humphrey Fellowship (Law & Human Rights), at University of Minnesota, US. He has been serving as a Human and Child Rights Trainer and Educator since the last 15 years.
Dr. Rubina Feroze Bhatti earned a PhD in Leadership Studies at the University of San Diego, California. She was among 1,000 Women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 2005, Woman of Courage Award 2011, UNDP’s N-Peace Award 2015, and others. She is recipient of Human Rights Award of Ministry for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Department, Punjab for four consecutive years (2016-19).
Tajdar Ali Hashmi after completing his primary education on scholarship from Islamabad Model School for Boys Araa Kirpa, joined Jamia Lateefiya Nazeeriya for Hifz-e-Quran. Well- versed in the Quran, Tajidar has also been on scholarship for his 8th grade and has recently completed his Matriculation from Islamabad Model College for Boys Hummak.
Dr. Jahanzeb Khan hails from District Swabi, KP. He pursued his post-doctorate in Sociology from the University of Peshawar and has written and published 10 research papers focusing on issues relating to Child Protection in Pakistan. He has been working in the field of child protection for 20 years.
Dr Rubina Fareed has been a practising obstetrician gynaecologist and nutritionist for the past 30 years. Her work in human rights has been recognised nationally over the years in the form of Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal 2006, National Human Rights Award 2016 and Human Rights Achievement Award 2018. She is also working as Chairperson Caring Committee of Shelter home and National Cell for the Protection of Children.
Muhammad Hashim Kakar has worked as the Director General (B-20) Social Welfare and the Special Education Government of Balochistan. He was also Assistant Director Provincial Commission for Child Welfare and Development Balochistan, Quetta.
Faryal Javed is a pre-medical student at Islamabad Model Girls College. She is passionate about mainstreaming child rights in the socio-economic paradigm of societal institutions.
